Americana Group – Egypt Announces Its Third Academic Partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education
As part of its commitment to invest in the professional growth and development of its people and in line with the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) platform, Americana Group – Egypt announced today that it will launch a specialized accredited four years undergraduate program jointly with the Ministry of Higher Education. The program offers a BSC in Restaurant Management & Operations which will be launched as a specialized section under Helwan University, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
Americana Group’s comprehensive training & development programs follows a building blocks module to train, qualify & certify students at all levels (Technical, Supervisory & Managerial), these programs has been integrated within the academic curriculum to allow the student to work and study “Earn & Learn”. This ensures that the students will best learn the food industry and gain work experience while still in the education process thus, enabling them with the know-how and skills needed to obtain work immediately upon graduation. Furthermore, to aid the students in earning a monthly salary, every year that they are part of the program, they will receive an annual salary increase in addition to a summer incentive scheme in place; whereby the students earn higher salaries during the summer months of July, August and September .
The courses within the program will be delivered in a blended educational form which combines the practical “On the Job” learning & training and two days a week classroom lectures at the Faculty of Tourism & Hotels. The courses and the lectures will be available to the students on CD, broadcasted on TV, in addition to an interactive E-learning module that will be implemented within the blended learning module.
Americana Group – Egypt is committed to pay the full education fees for the students enrolled in the program in addition to their monthly salaries.

An agreement has been signed on the 1st of March 2010 between The Ministry of Higher Education represented in His Excellency Dr. Hani Hilal the Minister of Higher Education and Americana Group – Egypt represented in Mr. Moataz Al-Alfi the Founding President of Americana Group – Egypt.
